Brenda has a very serious and sudden medical emergency . I am Deon her brother , and I Just want to raise a little money to help her husband and her family offset some cost of having to stay in the city away from home .
Brenda is a 53-year-old mother of 3 and grandma of 5. She developed a brain bleed yesterday in Botwood, where she lives. It happened very fast and she went downhill quickly, then was transported by ambulance to the hospital in GFW.
After completing a CT Scan it was decided that she be airlifted to the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s. She was admitted there via the ER to ICU where she remained intubated, sedated, and had other tests and scans. They inserted 2 stents into her head to drain the two hemorrhages.
The Neurosurgeon evaluated her and decided on brain surgery, which is where she is right now.
She is extremely critical.
Her family is either there or en route.
Brenda has been struggling financially this past while and as you can imagine, this will stretch her beyond the limits. The hospital is 5 hours away from where she lives, which means her family will be staying in the city, along with her husband.
