Dami + 4 more shunts

Many of you have asked how you can help. I don’t know how to answer anymore. We’ve pretty much lived at Hershey this last month. We’ve missed work. We’ve spent a ton on gas and meals (cause the $10 vouchers only go so far). All of this adds up and quickly. If you wish to help, even my sharing, that takes a huge stress off our hearts and shoulders. This afternoon is surgery number 10. The 4th in 2019. The 3rd in less than 4 weeks. I can’t believe this is happening. Our emotions are all over the place. I want to vomit. I want to cry. This is hell.

For those of you who don’t know, Damiana is 13 years old. She was diagnosed with a brain cancer at the age of 7. She had her tumor removed on 12/7/2012.

In the last six years Dami’s had:
•19 ER Visits and Hospital Admissions
•25 CT Scans
•20 MRI’s
•7 EEG’s
•1 Heart Monitor
•1 Brain tumor resection
•9 Shunt surgeries
•1 Heart surgery
•3 Lumbar punctures

This battle has been ongoing and doesn’t show any sign of stopping. The last 4 weeks has been hell. Compete hell.
