From the moment we stepped on this land we knew. Seven years ago Adam Tribe was birthed and created out of the desire of peace, freedom & authenticity. As Iranians, our lifestyles before the farm were spent in modern societies. I, Fatima, went to Emerson College in the UK where I learned how to thrive alongside Mother Nature in terms of the creative process and the importance of knowing the food you eat. And that experience helped me realize Mother Nature was were I wanted to be. Combined with my love of travel, the desire to deepen my knowledge and relationship with plants & animals. Rooz, studied aerospace computer sciences at Government University aerospace instrumentation in Saint- Peters burg. Finding himself as a traveler he was able to reignite his love with nature by building his intuition through extreme experiences. He became aware that his previous lifestyle no longer suited him. He began the comfort of relationship with nature and elements. He found his computer knowledge an asset in relating to nature. From this point his thirst for traditional knowledge of a sustainable lifestyle began.
The Universe brought us together with our commonalities and desires. We began traveling and trekking together. One of our adventures brought us to the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. On our nature path a young boy Showed us this 7000 sq. Off-grid abandoned farmland which would come to be our home.
Through these years we learned how to continue traditional Nepali farming, how to live with the land and how to survive monsoon season and leeches.
Last year, in an attempt to fulfill our vision, we left our farm and sold our animals to go to Iran for five months work. For a variety of reasons, between the political-financial crisis in Iran and poor opportunities, we were unable to reach the finances we planned for. We extended our stay for an extra five months to try to make up for loss pay and still came up short.
We traveled back to Nepal and found our farm overgrown, our house struck by lightning and other dilapidated structures from the abnormally harsh winter that had just passed. We have worked tirelessly over the last three months To re-establish our farmland in preparation for monsoon season. We found our selves in a place of lacking.
We have a great vision for this farm but we need to pass the monsoon season And there are necessities to be taken care of. We’ve gotten through a lot of obstacles on our own in the past seven years But like everyone sometimes you need help with challenges.
We are passionate about sharing our knowledge of Organic Farming. We are passionate about sharing our Farm and the food from the land. We are passionate about building a welcoming environment for everyone to experience the holistic nature of Adam Tribe.
Our farmland is nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Its 20 km away from the closest city, Pokhara, the trek includes An hour bus drive and a three hours hike up through the mountain villages which will bring you to Adam Tribe sitting at 1800 m. Our hilltop has a vast view of Annapurna range in the Himalayas. On a clear day, you can see 15 mountain peaks higher than 7000 m, 3 mountain peaks higher than 8000 m & Fishtail, the holiest peak of Nepal.
