We would like to give our Alan the legendary send off he truly deserves so please keep donating to his go fund me Account. Let’s take the pressure of his incredible family at this very difficult time and with the love being shown today on his wall it’s extremely overwhelming how many hearts he touched. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your previous support, as we were able to give Alan his best fight with the alternative treatment of THC so from his family and friends THANK YOU x Happy New Year everyone and thank you all, for the support with Alan’s ongoing battles, it certainly has been a challenging time for Alan. In Mid December Alan received a call to ring 999 as he was extremely anaemic requiring an urgent blood transfusion he was blue lighted to Broomfield Hospital as his haemoglobin was seriously low. The doctors feared Alan had internal bleeding and starting with transfusions immediately. Alan was in and out of hospital throughout December and unfortunately returned back in by blue lights on New Years Eve to resus when Alan collapsed at home gasping for breath. Tests are continuing as Alan is in immense pain and discomfort. He’s since started to show signs of being jaundiced which alerted the medical team to check the flow with the stent in his bile duct. Alan had a bile duct stent fitted in July 2019. Broomfield hospital have been liaising with the medical specialists In 2 hospitals in London as to the best treatment for our Alan. Tomorrow he will have a procedure to unblock the bile duct and then they will look to see whether they can put a further stent in the duodenum, so yes he has 2 stents. Alan was advised that there is a small amount of growth with the tumour, however we think it has slowed down and that whilst the THC has not yet shrunk the tumour its slowing the growth, it takes time and a lot of strength and persistence to maintain the regime by Alan and he has just been amazing, despite the pain and the setbacks. We really do need your support to give Alan the best chance of life. The THC is an expensive treatment and without the support from his friends and family it may not be a long term option so please continue to show your ongoing support, we cannot thank you all enough for all you are doing to help it means so much to Alan and his family. Original Post: Alan has battled his whole life with cystic fibrosis but last year his life was turned upside down even more when he received the heartbreaking diagnosis of bowel cancer.Alan underwent surgery and was determined he could beat the disease.With cystic fibrosis Alan was unable to have infusion chemotherapy after surgery as he was at high risk and advised it could kill him.Alan chose to try the chemotherapy in oral form but after a few days he collapsed with chest pains.Whilst Alan was heartbroken with his options running out his amazing Mum researched the other options and got in contact with someone who specialises in an alternative treatment. Alan has taken this treatment for the past 10 months and with routine check ups in London it looked promising as all his levels were improving and even his lung function for cystic fibrosis was the best it’s ever been. Last Saturday 8th June Alan was admitted back into the Chelsea & Westminster hospital with excruciating stomach pain which we believed was either a peptic ulcer or gastroesophageal reflux. After days of discomfort with lots of routine tests and biopsies of the duodenum Alan was advised Yesterday the cancer is back and this time on the outside of the duodenum.Due for a procedure this week the surgeons want to fit a stent to open up the damaged organ in order for Alan to be able to eat a puréed diet. There are no plans to remove the duodenum because either it may have gone too far, or his body would not survive surgery l, the stent is temporary and then the plan was systemic therapy meaning chemotherapy. Alan again won’t and can’t have chemotherapy because of the high risk of death. We need to raise a minimum of £2000 for a 90 days treatment and as he is out of work and having bills to still pay we need your help.

Alan is my best friend of 26 years since secondary school and he doesn’t deserve any of this. He is usually the most motivated and positive man l, however the bad luck he keeps getting is very testing.Earlier this year I lost my other best friend to suicide and with Alan getting extremely depressed and anxious I really need your support in giving him the best chances of survival.
