My name is Kiyomi King. On April 26th 2019 my mom, Adrienne McFadden was involved in a serious car accident. The car was a total wreck. It took over an hour for the fire department to remove her from the car. She was air lifted to UCSD. She suffered severe 3rd degree burns all over her body including her head and face,broke both Arms and shoulder, had a deep open wound on her leg, she broke her foot and knee. She has undergone several surgeries and skin grafts.She has finally been released from the ICU and will eventually be transferred to a rehabilitation center where she will remain for an unknown amount of time. She will need to learn to use her legs and gain strength in both arms.This accident has completely changed the lives for myself and my four siblings ages 19 12,10 and 5. My self and my older brother have needed to step up to maintain the household. This has taken an emotional and financial toll on us. This incident has affected me and my siblings very much. It has changed our lives in many ways. We have some help from family, but me and my brother are in control of the household. The stress is overwhelming but I have strong faith in God that this will all pass , My mother is now in rehab and still has a long way to go. I'm starting this campaign asking for any help to pay our household expenses and medical expenses that may not be covered with insurance. Anything that you can help with is very much appreciated.
