Please Help!! 2019 has been a devastating year for the Scoggin Family. Geoff has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive MDS/MPN overlapping cancer.
The oncologist is fast tracking him to the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City for a bone marrow transplant. Geoff will undergo the transplant in the next couple weeks. The bone marrow transplant and recovery will be intense. Geoff and Eadie have relocated to Salt Lake City to be close to the to the Huntsman Cancer hospital for approximately four months.
This cancer has broken our hearts and turned our family’s lives upside down. The unexpected medical costs are piling up and seem insurmountable; with travel back an forth to Salt Lake City, relocating, additional housing, child care for sweet Lily, medical bills and additional travel expenses for the bone marrow donor it creates a huge financial burden.
With this cancer Geoff isn’t able to work. This illness has left him so sick, weak, and with out a immune system to fight off germs and diseases. He currently is dependent on blood transfusions every few days just to stay alive until completion of the Bone Marrow Transplant. After the transplant is complete it will require a 3 month recovery process to finally beat the cancer!
The necessity of a 24 hour companion to help him fight this fight leaves Eadie with little time or energy to take care of their business which is their only way to offset their depleting cash flow.
Everyone asks how they can help so, if you have it to spare, donations would certainly help ease the burden.
Words cannot express our humble appreciation for the love, help and prayers we receive,
The Scoggin family
