In Memory Of Martin ‘Smudge’ Smith
Donation protected
This page has been set up in Memory of Martin , known affectionately to many as Smudge. Martin joined the Army at the tender age of 16 , A brummy lad who’s life’s dream was to serve Queen & country, Martins career took him all over the world including tours of the Gulf and Northern Ireland to mention but a few. Martin went to on to marry Dawn with which he gained a beautiful step daughter Sasha, Dawn and Martin then went on to have their first son Ryan, they were married for over 20 years. Sadly Dawn passed away way before her time leaving Martin caring for Ryan & Sasha. Martin remained Loyal to his family & fortunately found love again with Denise , together they both helped each other to heal from past experiences & their love flourished. Denise & Martin shared many a happy time including a holiday to Spain no more than 2 weeks ago , tragically not long after their return Martin was taken ill at Salisbury District Hospital where it was discovered he had suffered a massive bleed to the brain and unfortunately he could not be saved. Martin being the absolute gent he was was an organ donor ( we wouldn’t expect anything less ) is now at rest & he is now at peace. Martin was an absolute gentleman to all that had the pleasure of meeting him and was the most patriotic man you could ever meet , never missing a parade or remembrance. This page has been set up in order to make sure any extra funeral costs are covered & to most importantly make sure Ryan at the tender age of 18 isn’t left to struggle having loosing his mum & dad in the space of 3 years. Finally any funds that are left will be split between two charities close to Martin & the families heart, those being’ Help for Hero’s & The stars appeal for SDH. Thank you Annalisa xx
