Lisa Connell was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and despite having a whole host of debilitating symptoms on a regular basis, Lisa believes now is the time to make her dream of creating a successful business that raises awareness & funds for others, a reality!

My name is Lisa Connell, and I have been fighting an inoperable meningioma since 2006. From then its been my mission to increase the awareness of brain tumours and support organisations that fund life saving brain tumour research.

Back in 2010, I spearheaded a unique initiative ‘Rent A Date For Charity’, which within the six months it was live, gained celebrity and globe media interest, raising over £50,000 for charities and causes related to brain tumours in that time.

However, due to my deteriorating health issues at the time, I had to make the decision to put everything on hold to prioritise my own treatment.

Introducing Influential Stars!

Fast forward to 2024 – My brain tumour which had remained stable is now slowly growing again. This time I now have my eight year old miracle daughter by my side.

I am back with my new project Influential Stars! And I need your help to make an even bigger impact than I did before – please help me help others.

Influential Stars is a for profit commercial fundraising business that operates a web-based platform where people are able to participate in prize draws to be in with a chance of winning a meet and greet experience like no other with their favourite creator/celebrity all whilst having FUN and completing a FIt list challenge together and raising awareness and funds at the same time!

All of our experiences are in partnership with Virgin Experience Days a top UK experience provider, so I can guarantee that there is something for everyone!

Not only are we facilitating the experiences, we also help support UK charities and causes. With each prize draw that is run through our website, the chosen charity or cause will receive a donation from us once the prize draw winner has been selected.

Our aim is to support as many causes as possible – and as a business we are not tied to one specific area – we can be flexible in who we are able to support, and therefore we can be even more proactive.

The funds I’m asking for will be instrumental in the growth of our business, and will support the developments we intend to complete such as the ongoing costs associated with our website as well as outstanding costs, allowing us to continue helping others.

As the business grows I want to be in a position to make sure that Ruby, my daughter, has a strong and stable future, and I can rest assured that she will be looked after no matter what happens to me.

I want nothing more than to make this a success and to make a difference and create a legacy that myself and my daughter can be proud of, so please help me help others!
