In Memory Of Donnie Ott

Donation protected
Hi,
My partner Donnie Ott of 35 years has left us way too soon and unexpectedly.  His dying wish was Not to be Cremated, he made us swear.  Donnie known as( Uncle Donnie )to friends and family.  Donnie was a man that would always be there when needed.  Anytime day or night... And now HE NEEDS  you to help!

Donnie was told in March 2019 that he had lung cancer stage 3B.  He went through 3 rounds of chemo and 28 rounds of radiation.  We had to stop chemo because he was too weak and chemo was killing him!  Throughout the last 8 weeks he had to have 2 blood transfusions, 2 stays in hospital.  Its was awful to watch him going through all these changes.  Donnie started falling at home, he was weak.  I was forced to put him into rehab to get stronger so that he could come home!

Donnie was in the rehab home 7 days and I got the call Friday morning (5/24/2019) at 4:50 A.M. They said he had been coughing and fell to the floor and was unconscious.  they called 911  was called and were there  his heart had stopped then got a heartbeat back but stopped again.  I got to the facility in time to see them put him into the ambulance with a machine that was beating his heart as he laid there helpless and hopeless.  I will never forget that picture in my mind!!!

Donnie was always there for everybody even strangers.  When any of his family or friends would call him for help, he would go to help them and never wanted anything in return.  Donnie was a truck driver he would go through Chicago and he would always stop by the same homeless man and give him a pack of smokes or a few dollars and would talk to him.  I told him this was dangerous but he said God was watching over him.  He was always sharing and helping everyone and anyone!!!!

Donnie had a lot of family that he was a father figure to.  He would care for them like he did for his own children.  He was rough on the outside and a big softy on inside.  When it came to his grandchildren, they stole his heart.  He lived to be with them.  He was the greatest PAPA alive.  I'm asking all of you to open your hearts and please help me with his wish to be buried by friends and family and NOT CREMATED.  He so deserves to have his wish fulfilled!!
