Love for Layton
Upon first meeting Layton Berard, it is apparent what a stand up guy he is. He’s a natural born leader... polite, compassionate and outgoing. But out of all his qualities, his ability to love stands out the most. His love of God, love of family and friends, love of football and baseball and mostly his love of life. Now it’s our turn to show some love for Layton.
On Sunday, May 19th, 2019, Layton’s world was changed forever. He and two of his dear friends were involved in a tragic automobile accident. At the young age of 17, Layton has now faced what most can’t even comprehend. Not only did he sustain several severe injuries, but he also has to endure the unimaginable loss of his first love, Grace Gonsoulin. Although Layton has a long road to recovery, we know that he will persevere and always strive to overcome all obstacles he is faced with.
Layton’s strong support system begins with his dad and mom, Jason and Callie Berard. He also has two siblings, Channing and Lydie, whom he adores. The Berard’s have been overwhelmed by our amazing community truly stepping up during this tragedy. Because of people like you and your generous donation, they are able to focus on what’s truly important... the rehabilitation of sweet Layton both mentally and physically.
We know with God all things are possible so please continue to keep Layton, his family, and the family and friends of everyone involved in the accident in your thoughts and prayers; especially Gavin Brown and the soul of Grace Gonsoulin. All funds donated will go towards the unexpected expenses associated with Layton’s tragic accident. Let’s continue to show how much love we have for Layton!
