My husband Greg has been battling a severe case of ulcerative colitis for 4 months now with little improvement. With this sudden and unexpected disease, he’s is also battling anemia, lower extremity edema, decreased kidney function, extreme abdominal pain, dehydration, exhaustion and a lot of unwanted medication side effects, such as, short-term memory loss, blurred vision, and fluid retention. He has had multiple hospital stays and ER visits, infusion treatments, multiple blood transfusions, IVs, colonoscopy, ultrasounds, CT scan, and visits from multiple doctors and specialist from different cities. We are more than ready for him to get well!! He has his bad days and some better days but we have hope that he will fully recover and get back to feeling normal again. Our baby on the way needs a strong and healthy dad!
