Alec’s Motorcycle Accident (recovery fund)

In the early hours of Wednesday, May 8, a dear friend of ours, Alec, was driving his motorcycle on his way home from work and was struck head on by a car making an illegal turn at high speeds. He was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center, where he immediately underwent life saving surgeries.

Thankfully, Alec had his helmet on which saved his life & allowed him to survive this horrific incident without severe head trauma.

Currently, Alec is in critical but stable condition. Both of his legs were broken in multiple areas with his femur protruding through the skin near his hip. Multiple broken ribs, his knee cap and elbow are completely shattered, his liver was pierced on impact & he has puncture wounds to his right lung, which is in danger of collapsing. He is also having trouble seeing out of his right eye.
So far Alec has undergone 6 surgeries and three blood transfusions. This is just the beginning.

The road to recovery definitely wont be easy. Alec doesn’t currently have insurance, between medical bills, rehabilitation, transportation & his living situation he will need all the help he can get.

Alec has an amazing, charismatic soul. He cares for others more than himself and would undoubtedly be there for any one of his friends and/or family in a time of crisis. Please donate to the best of your ability. Any little bit will help and is greatly appreciated. Let’s give him one less thing to worry about. Share Alec’s story even if it’s just to stress the importance of wearing a helmet. His helmet saved his life.
