Fundraising and Praying for Kerri

To know Kerri is to love her.  Kerri Squires is a single mother of 2 children, Michael age 14 and Skylar age 8.  On Monday, May 13, 2019 Kerri took herself to Chilton Hospital for severe head pain.  Upon entering the Emergency Room, Kerri collapsed.  Kerri had suffered a major aneurysm burst in her brain.  The Chilton staff immediately transported Kerri to the Advanced Neuroscience Center in Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.  She underwent emergency surgery where the surgeon had controlled the bleeding on the brain and rerouted the vessel to a healthy vessel.  Her condition is day by day.

Initially, post-surgery, Kerri was able to communicate with us slightly via hand signals and writing on a piece of paper.  Unfortunately, she has now developed a severe case of pneumonia that is sometimes a risk with an assisted breathing ventilator.  To allow Kerri's body to recover with no stimulation or stressors, she is in a medically induced coma.  The Advanced Neuroscience Center in Overlook was ranked amongst the top 2% of medical centers in the Country.  With this treatment, will come great expenses.  Kerri does have insurance, however a percentage will not be covered and we are estimating that this figure will be well in to 6 figures, possibly more.  This is will be a lengthy process and we are remaining positive so her recovery will indeed be a marathon of healing.

We are asking friends & family of Kerri to come together and donate to Kerri and her children for future expenses.  This also includes our blue family members, as Kerri's sister and boyfriend are both law enforcement officers.  Our wish is to lighten the financial burden so that once Kerri becomes conscious, that is not an initial concern, but moreover she focuses on getting well to be the incredible mother, daughter, sister and friend we all know her to be.

As with any charitable request, we know times are tough for many people.  NO amount is too small and if it's not possible, we do ask for positive vibes, thoughts and prayers for a successful outcome for Kerri. We also ask that through the power of social media PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share this GoFundMe with a public status so that we can spread as much word as possible.  We will update this page regularly with any news of Kerri's progress.  

We believe Kerri will win this battle.  She is a fighter.  She is tough as nails.  "And though she be but little, she is fierce."
