Eid Gifts/Food Baskets For Refugees 2019

Donation protected
Alhamdulillah it has been a very successful campaign so far and as we reach the last 10 days/nights of this blessed month, we are very hopeful that Allah SWT will grant us immense success In Sha Allah. We distributed more than 75 food boxes this past weekend and plan to deliver more this weekend along with meat, clothes, shoes etc. Allah SWT is answering the prayers of the needy by opening various avenues for us/this campaign in unimaginable ways. We pray and hope that the needy gets due shares. Please continue to support us. Thanking you all.

Assalamualaikum. We are so humbled by the entire experience....Subhanallah!! Allah is the best of planners. Alhamdulillah our target for toys has been met and therefore we have moved our focus to food, hygiene now, and other needs next. In Sha Allah we will be making food baskets for the refugee families, with an average family size of 6. Each basket costs around $40-$45 with the following items.
Long grain rice - 25 lb
Oil 1-1/2gallon
Garbanzo beans - 4 lb
Red lentils - 4 lb
Flour - 10 lb
Sugar - 8 lb
Tomato Cans - 56 oz cans
Cereal - 2 boxes
Pasta - 2 boxes
Laundry Detergents - 100 oz
Dish Washing Liquid - 24 oz

Please donate generously as charity does not diminish your wealth. Allah SWT has promised so. So, let’s do our part by donating and sharing the campaign. Without your support we would not be able to do what we are doing.
Thanks,
The Fundraising Team of Dallas.

Assalamualaikum. The girls in the picture said they’re having a party since they are not fasting. Look closer, a group of 6 or so kids feasting on bread, yoghurt, black tea and biscuits. Their happy faces tells us just how thankful and oblivious they are of the fact of what is provided to them.

Today, we visited the refugee families in Fort Worth to assess their needs and family sizes. It was such a humbling experience. Most of the mothers and their kids came barefooted. A couple of very gently used shoes and clothes was all we had, which they took so happily. When asked what do you need the most, “Alhamdulillah nothing” was the answer. They must be both thankful and shy. On our insistence one woman said flour and sugar, other said dish washing detergent and one said how much can she tell us. Their basic needs are beyond our comprehension. Please help in any way you can.

Thanks

Assalamualaikum Warehmatullahi Wabarakatuhu,
I begin with the name of Allah, the most gracious and the most generous. It’s that time of the year again when we get together and take care of the needs of others who are less fortunate. We would like to thank everyone who contributed generously to this cause last year. We were able to personally deliver eid gifts, gift cards, cash and meat to the local DFW refugee families. Also, a  big part of our funds  was hand delivered in one of the camps in Bangladesh for Rohingya refugees. Subhanallah, we started very small but what we achieved was beyond our expectations. Without Allah’s blessings and your support we wouldn’t be able to accomplish this. Some of our  friends were supporting the most needy families on a regular basis. We distributed meat a weekend before Ramadan started and intend to do that one more time during Ramadan. This year we plan to do the gifts/goodies for  more than 300 kids and gift cards/cash for the most needy families and continue to visit them regularly throughout the year In Sha Allah. So, here we are again, reaching out to you for your support to make the campaign more successful this time so we can help as many as we can during this blessed month. May Allah SWT multiply your rewards and your contributions and may you get much more back in this world and hereafter. Please be assured that these families are needy and therefore your contributions are 100% Zakat eligible.
Some examples of the many  families in need of much help that are on our list are:
-An elderly blind person
-Two widows
-Woman who had neck surgery
-A person  who has trouble walking due to injuries
-Syrian refugee with Cancerous tumor
-A baby who had a surgery and needs 180$ for her monthly medicine which the family cannot afford.
- A family of 7 with disabled father and special needs son.

Thanks and much love from a group friends in Dallas.
