Ari hasn’t had the best start to life.

At just 4 years old she has had 6 homes (that we know of) before finding herself on death row in a pound, from which we saved her at the 11th hour.
 
Ari has been with her amazing foster parents for nearly 1,000 days while she receives the love and rehabilitation that she needs but now another blow has been delivered, she needs major surgery.
 
While waiting for her forever home she has torn her cruciate and now needs TPLO surgery which will cost $3,000.
 
Geelong Animal Rescue has no limit to what we will do for an animal in our care. We operate with the ethos that once we save an animal from death row, they become our own and we treat them as such. So far this year GAR has spent $21,619 on 11 animals that required significant medical attention, this is in addition to our regular vet costs.
 
GAR is entirely run by volunteers and all animals are cared for in foster homes throughout Geelong, we don’t have a physical location as we want to have zero overheads so all money raised can go directly to animal care.
