FAMILY CREATED Gofundme ACCOUNT FOR KEYDALL JONES: This is very sad to create a gofundme account for our beloved Keydall Jones. Our family is heartbroken and in disbelief to lose a child that was one of the most vulnerable in our family. Keydall was 8 yrs. old and he kept us all on our toes and reminded us how different we are. Each day he taught us, how God loves us all and how we as a family can love and we loved him. Even when he was diagnosed with severe autism, we educated ourselves to provide him the best of care and support.
His parents Champaigne and Kenny did their best to shield him was the looks and stares, for they were so happy to be parents and to love him. Keydall was their oldest child of five. His brother and sister were also diagnosed with autism and they all required a different assistance and needs. Keydall and his brother are non-verbal and they like to run. It's COMMON for children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), such as Keydall to run or wander away from caregiver’s or secure locations. This is called elopement. Elopement is again, common in children with autism and can be a traumatic situation for a child and caregivers. Keydall was known to elope and on April 30th getting put in the car for school and his mother go to strap her other child in the car seat, Keydall starts to elope. He runs out of her sight and his parents notifies police, family and friends to help find him. We searched alongside many others through out the entire neighborhood and through out the night, until in the morning he was tragically found in a pool.
Please pray for the continue strength and love of our family. They are grieving and some people are using this sensitive and tragic experience to be negative and ridicule the parenting of my family. Let’s all join in with love, support, and prayers for them. Also be positive and supportive to other homes that have children with autism.
