Capone’s Hip surgery

Friends, Capone is not out of the woods yet. We had our veterinary visit yesterday 4/22, the wound that I posted a picture of was actually road rash our sweet boy was hit by a car and his hip was dislocated at last nights vet visit we had Capone medicated sedated and x-rays were performed he has no fractures no broken ribs but he has one very clear hip dislocation. The vet attempted to pop Capone’s hip back into place to avoid surgery while he was sedated however there’s too much inflammation so it’s not going to be able to work without surgery so our boy needs your help... I lost my job in early March but my job hunt was put on hold as our family searched for our missing Capone. The cost of the surgery to have Capone’s hip corrected is $2000. (I am creating the go fund me goal for $2200 because there is a fee that go fund me takes out of the proceeds raised) There is a mobile surgeon that the Dry Creek veterinary clinic has used for the last 5 years that will be performing the surgery at their facility. From my understanding the dogs bone structure is basically a ball and socket they will be going in shaving a portion of Capone’s femur down for the leg to be functioning again. After the surgery Capone will be having extensive physical therapy for quite some time which we will be doing at home. We are begging, pleading and asking for donations to get Capone to surgery. When I spoke to the vet this morning he said that we will need to do the surgery within the week so he is going forward with scheduling the procedure. IM DESPERATE it hurts my heart that I can’t just write a check and have this done on my own and I’m not one to ask for financial help I’m a single mom with two toddlers I know independence and strength but I also know I can’t do this alone. Capone has a lot of life left in him, he has two kids that desperately want their “aponerson” back. The animal community has blown my mind with the amount of compassion love and worry you have all shown for our Capone we are forever indebted to you it’s your posts your reactions you’re sharing that has carried us this far when we wanted to give up it took 9 days to get our boy home and he’s so close to having his life back I am asking for anyone-please find it in the kindness of your hearts can you donate anything big or small we appreciate every single penny please share this please keep our Capone in your thoughts and prayers and please help us reach our goal of $2200 so that Capone can be Capone again. I’ll be posting updates and statuses daily. ** I have asked the vet if it was possible for people to call in payments and he is unfamiliar on how to do so so I will be paying for the procedure with the funds raised the morning of the surgery which I’ll update once I have a day and time**
