Charles Road To Recovery

Yesterday at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville Florida,  my son Charles D. McCain received a successful heart transplant after five years of suffering with congestive heart failure,  The doctor showed us a photo of his heart. A heart should be about the size of your fist. His doctor "said it was one of the largest diseased hearts he's ever seen". As a Navy Veteran, he'd often say, with such strong emotions, "Mom, I'm just so tired, I've served my country now I can't even take care of my family". With love, support and prayers from family, friends and co-worker, he received so much emotional support. With the phenomenal skills of the Mayo Clinic's heart transplant team, he received a donor's heart. A beautiful side note, my grandson who's in school to become a fire fighter also works for an ambulance service as an EMT. But while on duty he and his co-worker were dispatched to picked up a heart from the private hanger at Jacksonville international Airport and deliver to the Mayo Clinic. It then dawned on my grandson, he was transporting his uncles new heart!!!!!. The family literally has chills when we learned this news. During the course of my son's recovery, he and his family will be in much need of financial support. I'm asking all of Charles family, friends and co-worker to please share on your timeline this GoFundMe campaign and make it go viral so that others will consider becoming organ donors as well. Lastly. Our heart felt thanks goes out to the family that's so graciously donate this precious gift of a heart which will enable my son and his family another chance at life. Love Y'all Much...
