This fundraiser is for the medical expenses of Jonnie Stephens. She just had a liver transplant and needs help with the anti rejection medication costs and living expenses. She cannot leave the Dallas area for at least 6 weeks because she will have doctor appointments 3 times a week while they monitor her to get her anti rejection medication adjusted. Her liver failure was due to an autoimmune disease. The liver that she received was from a deceased cardiac patient which makes her situation more critical than most transplant recipients. As a result it is taking longer for her liver to work and it could fail at any minute. In this case it would cause her to need another liver transplant immediately.
