On April 9th, our dear friend Eric Cantley was out on his new Ducati, wearing his brand new riding pants he couldn't wait to try out. He had a bunch of errands to run, before a busy night of installs.
The day was cut short when another driver cut him off. He couldn't stop in time. He was thrown from his bike.
With life threatening injuries, he was rushed to the hospital, where he remains as this is being written.
Thankfully, he is still with us.
However, it is just the beginning of a long hard fight. All of the bones in his face are fractured. He has broken ribs and a shattered pelvis. He is still not breathing on his own. The healing is going to take a lot of time and require a lot of financial support.
The accident was the fault of the other driver. This might help. It appears that he might get some help from state and federal funded sources. This might also help. But as we all know, healthcare is definitely complicated, slow, and tremendously expensive. This is where we come in.
No one has to tell anyone how much Eric is loved by everyone. He is a part of a huge network of beautiful people that are accustomed to working together as a team.
Let's all pull together to help Eric and his family with his lost wages, his apartment, his vehicles, his bills, his perfect little dog Arthur -- and everything else that comes up at times like these, making things so much more difficult than they already are.
This is urgent. Bills are already piling up. Let's let him concentrate on getting better.
Thank you.
We love you, Eric
