190km Covid-19 Run Challenge

The 190km Covid-19 Run Challenge is a fundraising event to raise vital funds for three local hospitals who have been massively affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

1.     Buncrana Community Hospital
2.     The Nazareth House
3.     Letterkenny University Hospital

The challenge is for our four athletes Gerard Doherty, Shane Doherty, Declan Irwin and Christian McGinley to collectively run 190km in under 19 hours non-stop along the Inishowen 100 route. This will be a total run of 47.5km per athlete with approximately 7,500ft of climbing in total!!  The challenge will take place on Saturday 30th May 2020 if restrictions are lifted (otherwise there will be a lot of loops around Buncrana!!).

The run will be streamed live online for everyone to tune in and cheer them on.

Right now, we need your support to raise funds for our cause.  Please donate anything that you can.

We are also looking for businesses to buy business sponsorship places which are €100 each.  The businesses will be advertised throughout our media campaign and will also be advertised during the live stream .  Please get in touch if this is something you are interested in.  These donations can be made online on the GoFundMe page or by cash if dropped off to any of the team members.

We really appreciate your support!!

Thanks so much!!

Gerard, Shane, Declan and Christian.
