️ 1897 Group Remembrance Sunday Display — Honouring the Fallen ❤️
Every year, the Aston Villa family comes together to honour those who gave everything for our freedom. This Remembrance Sunday 9th November v Bournemouth, the 1897 Group, together with the Military Lions, are creating a powerful and emotional tribute inside Villa Park — a display that will unite generations of supporters in a moment of reflection, respect, and pride.
️ Our Goal
We’re raising funds to bring to life a stunning Remembrance display for the first time at Villa Park. Every penny raised will go directly towards materials, design work, and logistics to ensure that the tribute reflects the dignity and sacrifice of those who served.
This display isn’t just for one match — it’s a message that will echo through time:
“And at the going down of the sun, and in the morning - We will remember them.”
️ Why It Matters
Remembrance Sunday holds a special place in the hearts of supporters, players, and veterans alike. Villa Park has always stood as more than a stadium — it’s a home, a family, and a part of our city’s soul. This year’s display will remind every supporter, from the Holte End to the North Stand, that our club remembers. That we all remember those who have given everything for us. Members of Military Lions will also be present during the display.
How You Can Help
Your donation — no matter the size — will make a difference. Funds raised will cover:
• Materials
• Printing and design costs
• Volunteer equipment and coordination
• Transportation and setup for match day
Everything will be proudly organised by volunteers — for the fans, by the fans.
