Hi! My name is Morgan, I am the lucky lady that is the mother of this handsome little boy. Sweet Mittens has undergone so many bladder and urinary tract problems in his ten years of life. We were hopeful that back in October 2023 it would be the end of our troubles. He got the PU surgery, which essentially opened his urethra permanently to help combat getting blockages. He also got a Cystonomy to remove the stones that were causing him so much pain and discomfort in his bladder. I thought we were in the clear! He had been doing so well, so I thought. Unfortunately on Easter Sunday, he started displaying signs of being blocked. I took him into the emergency vet and sure enough he had a giant stone in his bladder causing him pain and putting him at risk for being blocked again. He needs to have another cystonomy this Friday to remove the stones, and me and my vet need to figure out medication and a prescription diet that will actually work for him. The emergency vet was 800$ and his surgery on Thursday will be anywhere from 1000-1200$. The bridge clinic is amazing and they do surgeries for a fraction of the price of other clinics, but unfortunately this amount of money is hard for me to come up with out of the blue. Anything helps me and my boy, he is my world, if you know me you know I don’t shut up about him.
