This was my cousin Donovan. He was taken from us too soon. Donovan had dreams in life. He was going to be an Everglades Park Ranger. He loved wildlife. As a kid he would act like Steve Irwin. He had plans to move to the Keys, get a job, go fishing for food, and enjoy the beautiful beaches and sea life. Someone took that all away from him. He was a great son and my uncle’s best friend. He was such a good brother to his sisters that he played the parent role sometimes. We were raised so close that I didn’t lose my cousin I feel like I lost my brother. He was an amazing uncle. He had so much patience and love for our little niece. He was a beautiful grandson and nephew. He helped them during Covid and go run errands for them, because it was not safe for them to go out. They would call him their angel here on earth. He never complained. He would become friends with people in need. If you were poor, suffering, misunderstood, he became your friend. He took his friends with him to places they’d never go. He could be invited to go ice skating or the Keys, he would ask if a friend can go and it was always a friend in need. When my Aunt was cleaning out her home he asked if he could take all the old pots and pans to give to a friend that had nothing. He became friends with a person who was being shunned in school. He said I would never treat anyone bad because of who they are. He helped mend relationships of people that were not speaking to each other. He made it a point to be there for my brothers and I when my Mother died. Stayed in the hospital with my brother when he was sick so he wouldn’t be alone. He would go out with my uncle to gift the homeless McD’s burgers and prayers and would ask, Dad when can we do this again. This is who they took from us. Donovan was a person that would bring a smile to your face. The minute you met him you felt right at home. You felt included. He is now with our Lord. Please give whatever you can. We understand if you are not able, but please share this link. Every little bit helps. We would never think that his life was going to be cut this short. Thank you. Please keep our family in your prayers .
