18 Year Boy From Arborg, MB: Battling Cancer

I know its Christmas and it has been trying times for most of us. But I am asking all of you to read this and consider helping out someone else in need. Every bit counts, it does not have to be a big donation.  A lot of smaller donations can really add up to one big donation.

My name is Carrie Waddell and I am trying to help out a young boy at this very difficult time in his life. Sam Eastman is 18 years old but a young boy to me. He is from Arborg, Manitoba. Sam  has worked for me and my brother at Arborg Chicken Chef for the past year. He was the type of employee who would come in 2 hours early just to help out for free, even come in on his days off to see if we needed a hand. He was always wanting to help out and learn new things. Sam always has a positive outlook on life, even today after all this, he still keeps a postive attitude.

He did start complaining his knee was bothering him but kinda brushed it off and kept on with life. Little did he know that his whole world was about to change. He was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma....the very same one that Terry Fox was diagnosed with at 18  years of age, the same age as Sam was diagnosed.

Sam's treatments are not working. They cannot save his leg.  They have no choice but to amputate his leg. He does not have a date for the surgery as of now, but any money will help with the costs of trips to Winnipeg, parking, food and just everyday living. 

They always say what goes around comes around. So I am hoping all the kindness that he spreads will come back to him. He is the type of person we all want to be and need to be.
