Llanfynydd YFC, with the support of Elin Ludgate’s family and local community organisations, has set itself the challenge of walking 17 miles on Saturday 30th of August 2025 in memory of Elin Ludgate. The distance symbolises Elin’s 17 years of dedicated membership to Llanfynydd YFC. We hope to raise as much as possible for Sandy Bear and Wales Air Ambulance, charities chosen by Elin’s family.

Sandy Bear exist to support children, young people and families in the lead up to or following the death of somebody special to them. Their 1:1 and peer group support enables young people to explore and understand the process of death, dying and grief in a safe, age appropriate environment.

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep the helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
