17 Virgins Black Rock City - Metamorphosis Portal

In 2014, one dusty soul convinced 17 of his friends to come experience Burning Man for the first time. Five years later our family has grown into a fun loving camp of 50 always evolving friends spanning countries, continents, and oceans.

We return to Black Rock City this year with our in-camp art piece - The Portal - a 250 foot journey that will be redesigned this year to reflect the theme of Metamorphosis

Due to the changing city layout, we will need to extend the portal by 50 feet this year, as well as re imagine the look and feel of the journey.

Your contributions will help us: 

- add 50 feet of tarp to extend the physical structure (50 more feet of magic!) 

- create two new sections within the portal:  a cherry blossom dream, and a chromatic liquid forest. 

- complete an immersive sound experience throughout your metamorphic journey. 

The portal is our annual dream, sweat and tears project, and we would love your help with this year’s additions.

We hope come visit us in the desert at 8:45&B and take a journey out of the dust and into the unknown!
