My name is Rachel, and I will be turning sixteen at the end of this month. To celebrate, some friends and I are holding our third annual “scoop-a-thon” fundraiser to support several ranches who use horses to serve abused and at-risk youth, as well as a therapeutic riding stable for children with disabilities.

Last year, we filled one hundred sixty-six buckets, raised over 8,000 dollars, and were thrilled to give the money to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, Hearts Landing Ranch, Redemption Youth Ranch, and His Mountaintop Ministries.

These ranches are close to my heart because my goal is to one day have a similar ranch overseas, so I leap at the chance to partner with them in any way possible. I am currently volunteering for Hearts Landing, Redemption Youth Ranch, and His Mountaintop Ministries, and I hope to intern at Crystal Peaks when I turn eighteen.
