152 for KYPU

Donation protected
Our friend Nick was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a relatively rare and aggressive form of blood cancer, on July 31st. Since then he has undergone 4 rounds of chemotherapy and is gearing up for a stem cell transplant in early December.

In a year that’s been strange for everyone nothing has put life more in perspective then the perseverance and strength Nick has shown over the last 4 months.

I’m so lucky that I get to fly to Australia next week to be with Nick and the family before the transplant process starts in December. I’m going to attempt to run 152kms over the 14 day hotel quarantine period in Perth and I have managed to secure a treadmill (new best mate) for the room. Running a 5k once a week has the body aching these days so I’m looking forward to the challenge starting on the 19th.  I will be sharing updates here and on social media.

Any money raised will be equally split between Nick as he begins the transplant process and the Leukemia Foundation in Australia.  If anyone would like to get involved please get in touch.
