At 14 years old, Meilani is already one win away from Masters.
As a freshman varsity wrestler at Hemet High School, she stepped into one of the most competitive sections in Southern California and proved she belongs. She placed 5th in the Ivy League, earning her spot at CIF. She then competed at CIF Southern Sectionals at Marina High School in Huntington Beach and was just one match away from qualifying for Masters.
For a first year wrestler competing at the varsity level, that is rare.
But Meilani is not satisfied with almost.
Before wrestling, she competed in dance with Work It Out Dance Company and The Dancers Studio and played travel volleyball as the setter for Club Jump. She understands discipline, pressure, and what it takes to compete. When she commits to something, she gives it everything she has.
Now she is fully committed to wrestling.
Women’s wrestling is one of the fastest growing collegiate sports in the country, and Meilani’s goal is to earn a college scholarship. She knows that getting there takes more than talent. It takes advanced training, mental toughness, and competing against the best.
For her 15th birthday on February 22, instead of gifts, Meilani is asking for an opportunity. She wants to attend the C.O.C. 7 Day Intensive Wrestling Camp, an elite overnight camp where serious athletes train four or more times a day. The focus is high percentage scoring, top and bottom dominance, match strategy, live wrestling, conditioning, and mental development.
Camp tuition is $1,120.
Our total goal is $1,500 to cover tuition, travel expenses, gear, and related camp costs.
Meilani comes from a large family, and while we do everything we can to support our kids, opportunities like this stretch us financially. We are asking for the community’s help to invest in a young athlete who has already shown grit, discipline, and heart.
If you believe in hard work.
If you believe in young women breaking barriers in sports.
If you believe in helping determined athletes chase big dreams.
We would be deeply grateful for your support.
Every donation, no matter the amount, moves Meilani one step closer to Masters and one step closer to her dream of wrestling in college.
Thank you for being part of her Road to Masters.
