Hi, my name is Omar. I am raising funds to support my aunt, a strong and loving woman who has been bravely battling liver disease for over 15 years.

Recently, her condition became critical. After years of fighting, her liver has now failed. The strain on her body has affected other organs as well, including putting significant pressure on her kidneys. She was admitted to Keck USC Hospital in Los Angeles, where doctors determined she urgently needed a liver transplant.

As if facing a major transplant and recovery weren’t enough, she is also dealing with a devastating financial blow: due to recent changes in Medi-Cal, she has lost her coverage. This means she’s now facing enormous hospital bills and still has regular living expenses to manage, all while undergoing life-saving treatment.

My aunt has always been the one who steps up in times of need. She’s quietly and selflessly supported our entire family over the years, never asking for anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.

I started this fundraiser with one goal: to give my aunt the ability to focus completely on healing; not on hospital bills, not on insurance issues, and not on financial stress. Every donation will go directly toward her medical care, recovery costs, and day-to-day needs as she begins the long journey back to good health.
