Hello, I am Idris Halai, trying to help this 15 year old boy Ubaid Ansari in India who lost his father 6 months ago and now to make matters worse has found out that he is suffering from blood cancer (leukaemia) and in urgent need of bone marrow transplant surgery and immunotherapy
As per the medical reports attached, his condition has gotten worse in the last one month. I was able to collect funds from my close friends and family and helped him with his treatments of chemotherapy and medical tests. It has now surpassed my capability as given his condition the doctor has recommended he go through immediate bone marrow transplant as chemotherapy is not working. If you see his reports between January and now, his bone marrow cells have blast cells (cancerous cells) that has gone to 90% now from earlier diagnoses of 1%. The disease is very aggressively growing and unless he goes through a bone marrow transplant, chances of survival is nil.
After his father’s passing a few months back, he was trying to finish his 10th grade and be of support to his mother and his younger brother. With no income earner in the family, his situation is very precarious. They are currently renting and belong to lower income class and are unable to afford this on their own. As a family friend to his father I tried to support the best I can, and a lot of my friends and family members already pitched in so he could get chemo and treatment which so far have costed about $12000 CAD. We have tried to find the most affordable care possible for him, but given the complicated nature of the situation and the aggressiveness of the cancer, we have to move towards a surgery as quickly as possible.
