Hi, my name is Honoka and I’m a 15 year old high school student with a great passion for music. For the past 9 years, I have poured my heart and soul into mastering this instrument. I started on two mini bassoons then moved onto the bigger bassoon in seventh grade and with that, I am aiming to do my AMusA this year. I have won many competitions in the past and I am also looking forward to winning more in the future. I am also participating in the Queensland Youth Symphony in Brisbane. Unfortunately, I never had the money to own my own bassoon, so I have to use the schools plastic bassoon. I have been constrained by the limitations of a school issued plastic bassoon and cannot get any of the important high notes out. However on a wooden bassoon, every note comes out effortlessly. As a high school student, the financial burden of getting a 20,000 dollar bassoon is insurmountable for me. Your support may be the key to unlock the door to my musical dreams.
