SUPPORT GIRLS HOCKEY TODAY!
Our San Jose JR Sharks Girls 14UAA team has earned the right to compete at 17th Annual International Silver Stick Girl’s Hockey Tournament in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, February 4 - 7, 2016. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for a tight knit group of 15 girls, aged 12 - 14 from San Jose, California to travel to Canada and battle against some of the best girl’s hockey teams in North America. With your help, they can get there.
The journey began several months ago with 15 girls from across Northern California commiting to be part of the brand new San Jose Junior Sharks Girls 14UAA team. After hours of ice drills, hundreds of pucks shot, yards of hockey tape, and playing local boy’s teams, the San Jose Junior Sharks Girls headed to their first all-girls tournament in Westminster, Colorado. Winning would award an invitation to the International Silver Stick Girl’s Hockey Tournament.
The girls played with all their heart and they skated strong! After winning their semi final game with 2 overtimes and a shootout, they met and beat the first place team in the final. We're going to Canada!
Now, these hardworking athletes need your financial help to get to Aurora. Any and all donated funds will go to offset the core costs of the trip, such as hotel, meals, and ground transportation (about $640 per player), giving our 15 players the equal chance and support to achieve her athletic dream.
