Your support can help provide life-saving research & allow this child to live.
This page was created for my dear nephew, Justin Strutzel.
Before we tell you about how much we need you to support him & his family, let us tell you a little bit more about this incredibly special boy.
Justin is a 14 year old boy. Just like any other teenager he wants to live life to the fullest.
He is a freshman in high school. He is the youngest of four siblings.
He like to play videogames, watch movies, and hang out with his friends and cousins.
… so now let me tell you his story.
In January 2019 a few weeks before his 14th birthday Justin had a seizure. He was rushed to the hospital and a CT Scan was performed immediately. Now, nobody could prepare for the results. The scan revealed a tumor on his brain. The diagnosis came in Justin has an aggressive and incurable form of cancer called an AA3 (Anaplastic Astrocytoma, astro, meaning star shape). This type of brain cancer belongs to the broader category known as Gliomas.
Justin had surgery to get it removed.
Justin has had a few months of radiation and he has been doing chemo for 10 months, he still has more chemo to do.
He has still been getting seizures. And the oncologists are still doing tests and after the last seizure we are waiting for a new CT scan appointment. The doctors fear that he may have another tumor.
Justin is angry, because why him...he’s just a kid.
We are looking for other options but as you know, it costs money . the insurance that Justin has does not cover much.
All your 100% donations will be used to help Justin have chances at life.
We will update you on his progress every time we have an update.
Your support, love and prayers are appreciated.
Thank you!
