14 Days to Bring Katotohanan to Life
Donation protected
"Katotohanan" is a musical that follows two sisters, CJ and Myka Salvador, in the fictional city of Tiangco in the Mindanao Islands of the Philippines whose tutor, Elena Anglao, goes mysteriously missing one day. As they try to investigate what happened to their tutor, they learn about a dark family secret that may possibly tear their family apart.
“Katotohanan” is inspired by the Lumad people, a collective of Indigenous people located in the Mindanao islands of the Philippines, and the struggles they face. This show aims to encourage audiences to organize in community to defend each other in the face of injustices and corruption while also bringing a light to the violent issues that face the Lumad community and the people who support them. With this show, we hope to inspire audiences to take action in supporting the Lumad people and their cause.
"Katotohanan" has been chosen as one of the recipients of the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Scholarship and is looking to raise funds in the next 14 days (March 24th to April 6th) to help finance the rest of the show's venue and production costs. At the minimum, we are aiming to raise an extra $1000 to get the ideal theatre venue for the minimum required three performances for our show. If we can raise any money past the $1000 goal during this 14-day fundraising sprint, those funds will be used to help out with other production costs.
