In a matter of weeks, our dear friend Sarah went from discovering an unusual lump to hearing a diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
It's too late for chemo and surgery. But it's not too late for life-giving treatments that are aimed at helping Sarah live as long as possible with the highest quality of life she can have.
Those treatments are Sarah's literal lifeblood ... and they are creating very real, very timely financial needs. Which is why we are humbly asking for any help you can give.
Sarah's only 35. You can see her ever-radiant face in the photo above, alongside her husband Stephen, her precious boys Cohen (9) and Alden (7), and her sweet baby girl Brookes (4).

In honor of Sarah, a few of us decided to run a half marathon in NC on April 30. But Sarah is the kind of person who makes a lot of friends. And very quickly, our little race grew into a global movement of solidarity for Sarah. On April 30, people as far as Australia will be running, walking, biking, and hiking as part of #TeamSarah. Sounds like a crew of pretty incredible humans, huh?
Our goal is to raise $50k by May - the day after people around the world will be getting active in support of Sarah.
Sarah has been brought to tears so many times already by your love and generosity. "This is going to be so helpful for our insurance deductible, alternative treatment, and the cost of missing work. Thank you. That's such tangible support! So helpful, such a big deal, and deeply felt!"
Specific medical needs that this money will go toward include:
- MRI on Sarah's spine and radiation on two vertebrae (if these cancers aren't targeted and eat through the bone, it can be debilitating)
- Trips and overnight stays when Sarah receives treatment at Anschutz Medical Center
- Cancer suppressing medication
- Hormone therapy to completely stop the production of estrogen, aimed at inhibiting the reproduction of cancer cells
- Acupuncture to help Sarah's joints
