Help Izzy Get Back to the Game That Gives Her Life Joy
Izzy Silver isn’t just an U13 girls centre back — she’s a fighter. She’s the kid who never gives up, who plays with her whole heart, who lights up the pitch every single time she steps on it.
And right now, she needs help.
A Childhood Already Full of Challenges
Izzy was diagnosed with Autism at four years old. School has always been overwhelming, but over the last year, constant bullying pushed her past breaking point. Her mental health deteriorated so severely that she hasn’t been able to attend school since May 2025.
To keep her safe, I had to stop working so I could care for her full-time.
In the midst of all of that darkness, Izzy found one source of light — football.
Football Is More Than a Sport for Izzy
Football is the only time she laughs freely.
The only time she plays with kids her own age.
The only time she feels confident, strong, and accepted.
On the pitch, she isn’t “the kid who doesn’t go to school” or “the girl who got bullied.”
She’s just Izzy — brave, fast, calm, powerful, and full of joy.
She dreams of playing like her heroes: Lucy Bronze, Katie McCabe, Lauren James, Jess Carter, Millie Bright and Alessia Russo.
Then Everything Changed in One Second
On 12 October, during a match against Chelmsford City, Izzy landed badly. Her life changed immediately.
She suffered:
• a ruptured ACL
• a severe MCL sprain
• a high-grade MPFL sprain
A&E sent her home after a clear X-ray, but we knew something was wrong. We paid privately for scans and specialists, desperate for answers. When the surgeon finally delivered the news, it broke us:
Izzy needs reconstructive surgery on her knee, and a year of intensive rehabilitation.
She is the youngest patient her specialists have ever seen with this type of injury.
The operation is scheduled for December 2025 — but the recovery is long, painful, and expensive. And without the right support, Izzy may never return to the sport that gives her purpose.
Why We’re Reaching Out
Izzy has already lost school.
She’s lost her confidence.
She’s lost her safe place.
We cannot let her lose football too.
We’ve already paid everything we could privately just to get a diagnosis, but we can’t keep up with the costs alone.
What We’ve Had to Pay So Far
• MRI: £650
• Physio: £500
• Hydrotherapy: £350
• Massage therapy: £250
• Surgery consultation: £250
• Disability aids & recovery supports: £500
Total: £2,500
