13 month old suffered at hands of child abuse

Hi, my name is Michelle, I'm very close friends of the grandmother who is taking emergency custody of both kids, Ryder 5 and his baby sister 14 month old Bianca (Baby girl or B).

On Friday September 8th, 2023, the mother took Ryder to school leaving the baby with her boyfriend and when she got back Bianca was unresponsive so she ran her to the ER at Kearney Regional in Kearney, NE. The boyfriend did not stay long and made an excuse to leave. The medical staff found bruises on Bianca's shoulders & back of her neck, she was still unresponsive and they incubated her. Upon farther research they found a brain bleed and life flighted the baby to Omaha where she had surgery that same day.

She had part of her frontal brain removed & part of her skull removed. She has 2 drain tubes in her brain & is receiving a lot of blood. She is in a medically induced coma.

Both grandparents are missing work being there for their grandkids and they need to have things in place to provide for the 2 children in this emergency situation.

This Monday ( September 11th) will determine a lot for Bianca as her medical team will do testing to make sure her brain is still functioning but if she comes out of this will have a difficult life of being a special needs child which will challenge the family greatly.

B is going to need medical items and many other things for her new condition upon leaving the hospital.

If things do not turn for the best, they will need funds to help cover funeral costs of Bianca.
