My name is Kristian Armstrong and I’m the head coach of the 12U A2 Admirals at Seattle Junior Hockey Association where I coach my son Landon Armstrong and 15 other outstanding players! This year I have been lucky enough to add Zach Wegener to my coaching staff. Despite the fact that Zach does not have a son on the team or kids at all he has a pure love for the game and does not hold back from teaching the boys. Zach is a real estate argent with a very busy schedule and has managed to find the time to donate to these boys! Each and every player on our team can give you a number of reasons why they love coach Wegs and enjoy learning week in and week out from coach. Thursday 2/24 10min into practice Coach Wegs was running a drill that included himself passing to the boys when he caught an edge and fell straight down on his kneecap breaking it in half and sending the top potion of the kneecap 3”-4” up his thigh. Quickly we got Coach off the ice and two of the players dads rushed him to the ER where X-rays determined the break. Not only will this impact his ability to continue coaching but will make life very difficult to work and comfortably recover. Zach would never ask for a penny because that’s the person he is! I’ve set a goal of $5000 to help with medical bills and his inability to work. Please help out a man who gives so much to the hockey community out of the grace of his heart and loves every minute of it!?
