River Thames 129 Mile World Record Paddleboard

Update: Thanks to all who supported this. I finished in 51 hours and 23 minutes (beating the previous record of 62 hours). It was a long way…

On 29 June 2024 I will attempt to beat the Guinness World Record solo Paddleboard of the River Thames.

That will involve 208km (129 miles) of continuous paddling from Lechlade to Teddington Lock (including 44 locks to portage the board around).

The record stands at two days and fourteen hours.

I am raising money for the Silverwood School Charity Trust which supports children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities at campuses across Wiltshire.

The next ambitious project for the Trust is to build an Animal Resource Centre to develop Outdoor Learning as well as animal therapy and land-based studies courses. The aim is to fund and construct a barn with surrounding paddocks and a classroom.
