Thrilled to announce that Dennis and I are officially running the 128th Boston Marathon! Join us in raising money for the Boston Fire Relief Fund to assist with the restoration of the Boston Fire Vendome Memorial on Commonwealth Ave. The Vendome Fire Memorial commemorates victims of the Hotel Vendome fire. This fire was one of the worst firefighting tragedies in Boston History. Boston Fire has always been a very important piece of our family. We have many family members both active and retired on the department, Dennis included. The Relief Fund was established by the citizens of Boston to assist firefighters and their families in times of personal need. This fire left eight widows and twenty-three children fatherless. We are running in an effort to kickstart the fundraising on this project to recognize the importance of keeping the memory of these nine brave men alive.
