Hello! My name is Amy Rossiter Crist. I have a 45-year friendship with Angela Gay Kinkead which began at West Virginia Wesleyan College. To be specific, Angela Gay or "AG" as we called her, was our dorm floor RA. Our lively and rambunctious crew undoubtedly jump-started her leadership education!

In early August, Angela Gay was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a rarer and aggressive blood cancer. A series of quick actions led her to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston TX, where she filled the very last spot in a 50-person, 2-year clinical trial. Her stellar medical care is essentially free. This Go Fund Me is organized to alleviate associated travel costs.

For convenience and cost savings, Angela Gay temporarily lives near her mother and brother in Wichita, making her initial treatments more accessible. (She's stepped away from her professional duties for these first six weeks.) Currently, her weekly travel routine is a 12-hour, 615-mile drive from Wichita to Texas with "Super Brother" Sterling Dean along as sidekick and navigator. Once there, Angela Gay undergoes infusion and oral immunotherapies with follow-up consultations. After a two-night hotel stay near the medical center, the brother-sister duo hit the road back to Kansas. Gas, hotels and meals are out-of-pocket expenses. Each trip costs approximately $ 700.

Cycle 2, commencing this December, will require monthly treatments with flights from her Charleston, WV home to Houston. Cycle 3 begins in December '23 with bi-monthly treatments.
