For over 20 years, a colony of feral cats quietly called the Crofton mill home.
Mill workers fed them, checked on them, worried about them in bad weather, and made sure they were safe. They weren’t pets... but for some people who worked at the mill, they were family.
Now, with the mill closing, this whole colony of senior cats suddenly had nowhere to go.
Thanks to the quick action of caring mill workers and local rescue Foster Kritters Feral Cat Rescue Society, these cats were safely trapped and moved out before the closure. But rescue is just the first step... and senior cats come with real, ongoing costs.
Why we need help
These cats are older. Some have spent most or all of their lives at the mill. That means they need:
- Senior vet exams & bloodwork
- Vaccinations and parasite treatment
- Dental care
- Medications and special diets
- Foster or sanctuary placements (some may never be adopted)
Senior cats are often overlooked, but they deserve comfort, safety, and dignity in their final years.
Where your donation goes:
Every dollar raised will go toward:
Veterinary care
Food, medication, and supplies
Foster and long-term support
Any remaining funds will be used for the care of the many other cats in need of help from Foster Kritters Feral Cat Rescue Society.
These cats didn’t choose to be born into an industrial site. They survived there because people cared. Now it’s on us to make sure their next chapter is a gentle one.
If you’re able to donate, thank you.
If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser helps more than you know.
Let’s make sure these 12 seniors spend the rest of their lives warm, safe, and loved.
