12 Marathons for 12 Months – Running for Ugandan Kids!

Hi, my name is Zoltan, and I believe in the power of opportunity.

For years, I’ve been supporting Kwa Moyo, an incredible NGO in Uganda dedicated to providing education to disadvantaged children. I’ve seen firsthand how access to education can change lives—giving kids hope, dignity, and the chance to build a better future. But I also know that many children are still left behind, simply because they were born into poverty.

I want to do more. I want to turn my passion into action.

That’s why, in 2025, I’m taking on a challenge that pushes my limits: running one marathon every month—12 marathons in 12 months—to raise awareness and funds for children who would otherwise never get a chance to go to school.

The Goal: Educating 10 Kids for One Year

This challenge isn’t just about running—it’s about real impact. My mission is to fund one year of education for 10 children through Kwa Moyo.

One year of education for one child costs about €500—covering the cost of a child's education at the Kwa Moyo Education Centre. This includes all scholastic materials, two balanced meals a day (breakfast and lunch), as well as the cost of health care and support from social workers. This amount also includes part of the salaries of the teaching and non-teaching staff such as cooks, cleaners and security staff.

10 children = €5,000. That’s the goal!

Every step I take in these races represents a step toward breaking the cycle of poverty and giving these kids a future filled with possibilities.

How You Can Help

I can run all the kilometers in the world, but I can’t do this alone. Your support—big or small—will directly fund the daily operation cost of the school, and will open up opportunities for those families who can not afford to send their kids to school. (Yes, in 2025 this still happens in the world!!!) Any amount brings us closer to changing lives.
