My brother Kyle and I have always had a special place in our hearts for the children of Mathare Valley. During this season, we have been fortunate enough to receive a special blessing in the form of a matching donation (up to 5,000 dollars) to help these children. If we meet this goal, every child in the school will be given porridge and a meal every day at school and have the proper school supplies for the entire school year. Most, of these children, rely on the meal provided by the school as it is the only thing they eat for that given day. These children live in immense poverty, that is hard to imagine, and the only way out is through education. During this season people are often looking for the perfect gift to give to someone that has everything. By donating to The Mercy Care Center in honor of someone, 100% of the funds will go to making a child's life better. All donations are tax deductible, so please consider the children of Mathare in your year-end giving. In a season focused on giving "things",  make this year different and focus on giving a child chance at a future.

More information about Mercy Care Centre Foundation: The Mercy Care Centre Foundation (MCCF), founded over 20 years ago, has been the nucleus from which several Christian schools have been started in Kenya. The Foundation works to raise funds and bring awareness to the children of the Mathare Valley slums. New Mercy Care Centre Academy is a light of hope in so much darkness.
