Hi. I’m Linda and I’ve been a volunteer with Mayo SPCA in Ballyhaunis, Mayo for 4 years. I spend almost every Saturday with the cats and dogs in our rescue shelter that have been found straying and in desperate need of medical care, love and affection.

Funding is so critical to running our shelter. We need to cover all the bills (lighting, heating, food, Vetinary care, medicine and all the various items needed for cleaning and maintaining our shelter)

These animals ask for so little and give so much in return. All the animals and volunteers at Mayo SPCA have provided solace for me on difficult days and brought me a huge sense of purpose, fulfillment, friendship, laugher and happiness. This is just one small way that I can make a difference to all the animals in Mayo in need of our help.

I will be doing 12 cold water dips between December 20th and January 4th and hoping to raise €500 for The Mayo Society of Prevention to the Cruelty of Animals Ltd, and any donation will help make an impact.
