Hi everyone! My name is Maya and I'm a creative doula passionate about helping mothers give birth with support. I'm raising money for a cause that means a lot to me: Casa Materna, in Lake Atitlan. Having worked alongside them as a film producer, telling their story through film, and supporting them as a donor. I'm continually inspired by what this small, committed team accomplishes driven by faith and dedication to the mothers they serve. This November 21st marks Casa Materna's ten year anniversary. I'd love for you to celebrate with me by supporting an organization that has stayed consistent, committed, and community focused since day one. Funds raised go through the Hava Foundation, the nonprofit that supports Casa Materna's work.
CASA MATERNA
Every mother deserves to bring life into the world safely. But for many indigenous women near Lake Atitlan, that simple hope is not guaranteed. Guatemala's maternal mortality rate is among the highest in the region, and indigenous women face even greater risk.
Casa Materna is changing that story, one birth at a time. Trained staff identify risks early, provide skilled support during labor, and ensure mothers reach a hospital quickly when they need more advanced care.
Every dollar you give goes directly to the local staff and on the ground care. The founders and international staff donate their time, so your gift funds where it's needed most.
$50 can help cover a prenatal screening.
$150 can support a safe delivery.
$500 helps fund emergency transport when every minute matters.
Ten years of showing up for mothers deserves a big celebration. Let's celebrate with a gift that helps carry this work into the next ten.
