10K Run. To raise money for a cold cot.

Hi Oscar my son who is 12 and his friend Jimmy are running 10K to raise money for a cold cot, in memory of Jensen and Theo RIGBY. Jensen was born sleeping and Theo was a late miscarriage. When I was in Ormskirk hospital they allowed me and my husband Oscar’s dad Andrew to use the cold cot for our babies. This is to allow us more time with our babies.

Oscar being the best big brother would like to raise as much money as he can to be able to give back to the hospital. So him and his lovely friend Jimmy are running 10k to raise awareness and raise as much money as they can.

Oscar and Jimmy are in school together year 7, and are so excited to be able to do this. To thank Ormskirk for all they did for our two angels, me and our little family.

When I gave birth to Jensen at home I haemorrhaged and had to go by blue light to Ormskirk hospital, and was then rushed to theatre. While I was in theatre a lovely berevement midwife called Joanne asked Andrew would he like a cold cot for baby Jensen to go in.

A cold cot is basically a cot that has a built in refrigerator to keep the cot really cold so parents can spend more time with their baby.

Ormskirk Rainbow team also allowed us to take a small portable cold cot home, until Jensen’s funeral.

We also used the cold cot when we lost Theo who was a late miscarriage.

We are wanting to raise as much money as possible but also raise awareness of Stillbirths and miscarriages.

Ormskirk Hospital have been incredible and we can’t thank them enough.
