Hi, my name is Katie and I am running a 10k alongside my run club in April to raise money for the Neuro Rehabilitation unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

I am raising money for this ward as my mum is currently an inpatient here following a serious aneurysm and haemorrhage last August.

Between the brilliant efforts of the neurology ward and NRU my mum is managing to get stronger and stronger, something that we were scared wouldn’t be the case after being told to prepare for the worst on her initial hospitalisation. The ward goes above and beyond for patients and their families and I felt it important to give back.
